Founder of Decaydance, Pete Wentz, could not have made a better investment by signing The Academy Is to his label. This 5 man band from Chicago Illinois exhibits more talent than could be imagined. Honestly, I couldn't imagine my life without some of their songs.

The lyrics are so inspiring. Not counting their debut, self titled album, TAI has put out 3 albums; including, Almost Here, Santi, and Fast Times at Barrington High. The Academy Is, is known for so many different styles. Some of their songs are more soft ballads, were as some pick up the pace a bit. The outstanding vocals and musical accompanyment is one of the best collaborations ever. This band couldn't fit together more perfectly.

TAI lead singer William Beckett has also sung on songs for bands such as Fall Out Boy and Cobra Starship. To add to their many talents the band has TAITV running for them. What seems like an overnight youtube sensation has only added to The Academy Is' popularity. This has also helped people come to learn about their music. If you don't believe they're good look at how in less than half a year they managed to make Rolling Stone's 50 Best Albums of 2008. I promise you won't regret it.
